Why Sloped Stairs Need a Purpose-Built Railing

A level guardrail cannot be adapted to a pitched stair without gaps opening at one end. This system is fabricated to the angle of your run, so the posts sit plumb, the top rail follows the slope, and cable spacing stays consistent along the whole length.

That is the difference between a railing that looks made for the stair and one that looks forced onto it.

Before You Choose Cable

Cables need re-tensioning. Steel expands and contracts with temperature, so expect to tighten them once or twice in the first year before they settle. This matters for compliance as well as looks — a slack cable can open a gap wider than 4".

Installation takes longer. Each cable is tensioned individually, roughly twice the time of a horizontal bar system.
