Vertical Bar Stair Railing — Steel Guardrail, Pre-Assembled

Modern Vertical Bar Stair Railing – Safe, Strong & Pre-Assembled

Our vertical bar stair railing pairs a clean modern look with the infill style most building departments prefer. Vertical balusters with a sleek 2" x 1" top rail, finished in durable matte black, suitable for indoor and outdoor staircases.

Arrives pre-assembled, so installation is mounting the unit rather than building it.

✔ Key Features & Benefits

• Durable steel construction throughout
• Vertical baluster design — cannot be climbed by children
• Baluster spacing meets the 4-inch sphere rule
• Pre-assembled — no assembly required
• Easy DIY installation (30 minutes)
• Height options: 36" or 42"
• Matte black powder-coated finish (weather-resistant)
• Includes all mounting hardware + base plate covers
• Suitable for residential & commercial use

Why Vertical Balusters

Horizontal bar railings look sharp, but some jurisdictions restrict them because children can use the bars as a ladder. Vertical balusters remove that concern entirely.

If you have young children, or your local building department is strict about climbable infill, this is the specification to choose. Our building code guide covers the rules in full.
