Is a Slim Profile Right for You?

The trade-off is grip. A slim rail gives you less to wrap your hand around than a fuller profile.

Choose slim if: your stairwell is tight, you want the rail to disappear visually, or the rail is mainly for reassurance and balance.

Choose a fuller profile if: someone in the household relies on the rail for real weight-bearing support. Our 2" x 1" rectangle handrail gives a wider grip.
